When Fidelity Bank purchased the Wichita Carnegie Library building from the City of Wichita in 2006, the organization was in need of more space. The original headquarters building located just to the south of the library could not continue to support the bank’s rate of growth. The ideal situation would be to expand the footprint of the bank’s downtown headquarters, instead of relocating a portion of the corporate staff to another location in the city. The Wichita Carnegie Library restoration was the perfect solution for the bank and for the community. Upon completion, Fidelity Bank’s commercial banking division took up residence in the reinvigorated landmark.

The restored space provides a regal home for the business banking, commercial lending, treasury services and private banking departments. The building maintains the historic elegance of the original structure while possessing the more functional elements needed to conduct business. State of the art audio visual equipment, fiber optics and other modern amenities have been discreetly installed. An enclosed skybridge connects the library to the Fidelity Bank Building, bridging two landmark downtown structures, one modern and one historic.
